Sanjeev Singh

Malaysian-born photographer Sanjeev Singh has called Australia home since 2002, arriving as an international student in Perth before moving to Melbourne in 2008.

Sanjeev left corporate life at the end of 2013 and dived into his passion for photography, turning it into a flourishing career. A former journalist, Sanjeev enjoys the visual narrative in photography and specialises in portraiture, events, street, editorial and travel photography. His works have been published in The Age, the Air Asia inflight magazine and American culinary magazine Tea Time. Sanjeev was also one of four photographers who worked on the cookbook Friends of Streat for social enterprise STREAT.

More recently, Sanjeev was a finalist of the Martin Kantor Portrait Prize in the 2019 Ballarat International Foto Biennale for his portrait of actress and trans advocate Georgie Stone.

Outings marks Sanjeev first solo exhibition featuring 23 portraits. He hopes to develop the project on a global scale within the next five years.
